The Escapees of Moraline / August 24, 2023 at 8:00 PM / Sherbrooke Contemporary Dance Festival 2024

The new creation, a choreographic work inspired by the world of addictions, explores the themes of addiction and human freedom. By closely examining these subjects, the creator, Nicolas, highlights the philosophical foundations of humanity, ranging from need to freedom and from determinism to creation. The performance delves into the solitude of the individual in the face of their desires and needs, exploring themes such as addiction to drugs, alcohol, and technology. By using dance as a metaphor for our world, the creation aims to raise awareness among the audience about ethical issues and enable them to build themselves as individuals. With a duration of 1 hour and 15 minutes and 6 performers, this production is aimed at the general public. By shedding light on our existential questions, without providing ready-made answers, Nicolas hopes to provoke reflection and introspection among the spectators.
